A hybrid vehicle uses an electric motor to supplement rather than replace a petrol engine. Some vehicles can operate entirely on their electric engines at low speed, and for very short distances. | 2. | Toyota Prius Hybrid Auto - The Toyota boasts Power tilt/slide moonroof with Solar Powered Ventilation System and Remote Air Conditioning System. It has a 1.8 litre petrol engine and a 100Kw electric one. It achieves an EPA-estimated city/highway fuel economy of 51 city/48 hwy miles per gallon.

| 3. | Lexus RX 400L Hybrid - Unlike mild hybrids, the Lexus are capable of driving in Electric Vehicle (EV) mode. In EV mode, progress is near silent, no fuel is burnt and zero emissions are produced. Lexus claim to have a Combined fuel consumption of 44.8 miles per gallon.
